The Role
Main Purpose/Scope of the Job
To manage and lead the entire Engineering Services Department (Oil & Gas Projects) efficiently & effectively by providing guidance and direction to subordinates in accordance with Company procedures.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· To manage and lead the entire Engineering Services Department efficiently & effectively by providing guidance and direction to subordinates in accordance with Company procedures.
· To advise on technical issues related to Design & Construction matters, in order to meet specific project requests.
· To coordinate with the heads of Projects/ Departments in meeting Engineering support requirements.
· Direct contacts are with client representatives in relation to engineering, costs, schedules and progress reports.
· To ensure timely delivery of accurate drawings.
· Directs construction engineering activities of the assigned construction engineering staff.
· Directs preparation of cost estimates for construction activities and co-ordinates the preparation of cost reports, forecast and progress reports.
· Implements controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials and equipment
· Administers assigned subcontracts.
· Administers major subcontract changes and represents the company in major contractual discussions and negotiations.
· To ensure effective management & utilization of time for personnel.

Personal
· Educated to degree level
Work Experience and Achievements
§ Minimum of 10 years’ experience of Engineering Management roles in Oil & Gas sector
§ Minimum 5 Years of Work Experience as Lead Design Engineer, Design Engineer and Project Engineer role for Consultancy / Engineering / Construction companies in the Middle East.
§ Ability to demonstrate a track record of delivery in the Engineering Management role
§ .Experience in leading benchmarking, market analysis, the design and implementation of policies and procedures.
§ Experience of working at both a strategic and operational level.
§ Experience of managing a small but highly effective team.
§ Experience & Knowledge of Middle Eastern market, specifically in Saudi Arabia highly desired
§ Multi site and international experience would be beneficial
§ Thorough knowledge of construction activities as relates to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling and contract administration.
§ Solid background and expertise in Oil & Gas Engineering Management.
