Regional Finance Director (Arabic Speaker)

Due to a rapid expansion, our client, market leader in their field in the UAE, is searching for a person who is energetic, forward thinking, creative and professional to fill the position of Regional Finance Director. The ideal candidate is a strategic visionary and an experienced leader with analytical ability and has a strong operational focus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges in line with organizational objectives
• Give input from a financial perspective to discuss the viability of plans in terms of investments and resources required, participate in forming strategic plans
• Design and maintain managerial and financial reporting; review efficiency, quality and internal controls of organizational processes
• Supervise and provide managerial review of all daily, monthly, and year-end financial filings
• Suggest deployment of financial resources for maximizing returns and ensure optimal usage of funds available for use and investment
• Give inputs on financial structuring of the regional network in terms of ownership and shareholding
• Establish credit control systems and processes; maintain control through regular monitoring of credit for the entire organization.
• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variance
• Perform and manage special projects as requested
• Plan and implement financing requirements at the regional level and negotiate with banks, financial institutions etc for mutually beneficial terms of contract
• Support in legal company requirements
• Support in setting up new offices in the region
Candidate Profile:
Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/Management Degree with specialization in Finance/ Minimum of 15 years relevant experience with medium to large scale companies with at least 5 years as head of the Finance function in a Regional role/ Fluency in English & Arabic a MUST/ Exposure to ERP environment, financial databases and systems/ Knowledge of banking, GAAP, SOX and taxation procedures/ Experience dealing with the GCC region/ Strategic outlook, strong analytical and decision making skills. |
