Director of Clinical Operations
Description: DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL OPERATIONS
is required for a forward moving CRO. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to provide leadership to and effectively manage the activities of the Clinical Project Managers (CPMs) and to supervise all office and field based staff affiliated to the office.
· You will be required to serve as a senior level liaison with clients as appropriate
· To represent Clinical Operations and contribute to business development activities ·
· Provide leadership and effectively manage the Clinical Operations department. ·
· This will include managing all staff; Overseeing management of projects to ensure that they are conducted in an effective manner, meeting sponsors timelines and expectations and in adherence to the companies SOPs and regulations. ·
· Act as Clinical Operations lead in the development of proposals, participate in bid defence and pre-selling meetings · Identify and implement process improvements
· Ensure that the necessary training is provided to all staff to improve their job performance and knowledge
· Provide effective support to all local staff assigned to manage in other locations (remotely managed CRAs) ·
· Support and conduct performance appraisals. ·
· Act as a mentor / role model for CPMs as appropriate. ·
· Ensure that the office and its staff operate in a professional and client orientated manner
You will need:-
Previous relevant experience within the Clinical research arena of which a significant amount should have been at management level. · The ability to oversee all aspects of project management and to be able to successfully manage CPMs and interact positively with all levels of staff. · Oversee the management of several study programmes · Have the ability of effectively managing the Clinical Operations Department · A valid UK driving licence is essential and you will need to be prepared to travel approx 20% of the time (UK and Internationally) · You MUST be eligible to work in the UK |
