This private engineering consultancy specialises in design led civil and structural engineering projects and has an ambitious growth strategy. The bulk of its current portfolio lies with private sector clients in the housing development and infrastructure areas with some additional outsourced structural design contracts. It has existing teams covering project management, structural design and civil engineering. The focus of this role is to build up the civil engineering side of the business. As part of the Management Board and reporting to the Executive Board, the position offers the ideal opportunity for a fast advancing Senior or Associate Engineer to make that step up to Directorship. You will be responsible primarily for developing the civil business into new areas and creating an effective new business platform to support further growth. The role combines an interesting mix of new business development and high quality project delivery. It requires a Chartered Civil Engineer who has risen quickly to a senior position, and looking to make that quantum leap and maximise the significant career potential this position offers. Having gained your experience probably in a major civils group, you will have experience of working on projects ranging upto at least 10 million and you will have a firm grasp of the commercial as well as the technical elements of the role. Residential. Commercial, Industrial and/or Retail experience will be useful as would Local Authority, Highways or other Infrastructure experience. It is equally important however that your technical expertise is matched by keen business instincts and ability.
