Engineering Director
The Engineering Director will develop and execute the Engineering strategic plan, building competency and skill levels throughout the engineering function. An important element of the role of Engineering Director is to provide management leadership for all members of the Engineering team, assigning personnel and resources to ensure levels of engineering skills and support that will meet both the tactical and strategic goals of the company.
Our blue chip client is part of a large US corporation and a major player in its market sector. The company is a well established and reputable supplier to the UK, international governments and a range of major organisations.
The successful Engineering Director will have a relevant qualification in an engineering or technical discipline and will be able to demonstrate substantial experience in complex engineering and design projects such as automotive, defence, aerospace or transportation. The Engineering Director will have strong leadership qualities and people management skills, with a good understanding of best practice and world-class capability in the field of engineering.
The Engineering Director will be a strategic thinker who is prepared to operate hands-on whenever this is necessary. Experience of organisation design and change management will be advantageous.
