Buying & Brand Manager

 

THE ROLE:

 

·          Budgeting: Active contribution in the yearly budget preparation for the Brand.

·          Buying Management: Plan the total seasonal purchase & guide the merchandisers by setting forward estimates for the different buying groups, taking into account a number of variables, such as selling space, trends, feedback from the stores. Attend buying fairs along with Merchandisers & ensure that the right products are selected in terms of ways & depth.

·          Stock Management: Regularly monitors the merchandise stock levels. Analyze various reports, gauges the merchandise performance & then suggests/implements corrective measures.

·          Pricing & Margins Management: Evaluate the pricing of the merchandise prior to a season by doing a price simulation exercise, ensuring that the pricing delivers the margin target set.

·          International Franchise Group (IFG): Regularly communicate with IFG, maintain good working relationship with them; negotiate prices, delivery plans, lead times. Provide feedback in terms of product suitability to the local market, suggesting changes, alternatives & new specific products to be developed for the franchise.

·          Visual Merchandising (VM) Management: Ensure Brand VM standards & guidelines are implemented across all the franchise stores. Ensure that the VM Manager is up to date with the latest guidelines, stock levels, promotional activities plan. Ensure that store equipment is properly and efficiently managed.

·          Marketing Management: Ensure that the yearly marketing plan is in line with the business objectives.The Marketing Executive is up to date with the market trends, promotions rules & regulations, décor constraints. Ensure that brand is portrayed in external media campaigns/in-store promotions.

·          Team Management: Managing a culturally diverse team; ensure the department is adequately staffed with competent individuals. Ensure the team is consistently trained, developed & motivated.

 

Skills

·          Minimum 4 years merchandising & buying experience

·          Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

·          Analytical skills

·          Excellent computer skills

·          Leadership skills & ability to work under pressure
