European HR Director

 

Due to planned expansion and a period of rapid growth, our client a global leader in the wireless market is looking to recruit for a European HR Director responsible for driving all areas of HR and providing strategic and operational HR support to all business units across Europe.

 

THE ROLE

 

·          Provide general direction and support to senior management.

·          Working closely with Senior Management and partners across Europe to create and implement clear, timely, business-focussed staffing strategies, plans and programs.

·          Develop and implement recruitment strategy.

·          Put into place new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.

·          To continually review and advise all Directors in all staff welfare and benefits issues.

·          Provide strategic direction in the formulation and implementation of a transformation change programme to engage employees and support changing business needs.

·          Develop an effective employee relations strategy by implementing effective communication channels to ensure two-way engagement across the organisation.

·          Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring.

·          Providing guidance to personnel based on organizational goals and company objectives and exerting influence on overall objectives and long-range goals of the organisation.

·          Maintaining current knowledge and expertise in HR and applicable industry including country specific regulations, competitive and trend information.

·          To work as a business partner across the European organization to implement HR policies and systems and report the information gathered back into the Global Head office.

·          Provide the necessary support to ensure recruitment activities are concluded successfully.

 

THE PERSON

 

·          Proven pan-European HR experience (coming from a Telecommunications/IT related discipline)

·          Demonstrable track record of pan-European deliverables.

·          Clear Communicator with the ability to provide objective advice and guidance to Senior Management.

·          Down-to-earth, autonomous, hands on approach.

·          Cultural sensitivity.

·          Additional Languages are highly desirable
